Played for Frnace against Spain in the Fed Cup. Won her first match against Arantxa Sanchez Vicario, but lost the other to Conchita Martinez. France narrowly lost 3-2. Also represented France in the Atlanta Olympics.

August 1996

Lost to Amy Frazier at the Canadian Open because of a shoulder injury. The same injury forced her to pull out of the U.S. Open.

September 1996

Returned a month later to defend her her Nichirie Ladies title in Tokyo. Not completely fit, she lost to Kim Po in the quarters. Missed the rest of the season recovering from various injuries.

Ended the year ranked #22.
