Two weeks after winning the Australian Open, Mary reached her second final in front of her home fans at the Open Gaz de France in Paris. She had to come back from a 1-5 final set deficit against Rennae Stubbs in the first round. Lost 2-6,2-6 to a brilliant Steffi Graf in the final.
