June 1993  Reached the 4th round of the French Open.For the second straight year lost a very close match 6-4,7-6 to Jennifer Capriati. Lead the second set tiebreaker before making some crutial mistakes including a double fault at match point. Did not play Wimbledon.

July 1993  Returned to action at Palermo, as the top seed and defending champion. Reached her third straight final at the tournament, but lost 6-3,6-2 to Radka Bobkova.
